Gentle Yoga for the Menopause

I am delighted to  offer this  6 week course, which  is free to residents of Somerset.

This course is designed to support and nourish all those who are in the Peri- Menopause and Menopause. We discuss what is the menopause and its main stages. In this course we explore how gentle yoga can help support women through the menopause.

A safe  and supportive space, a circle of sharing and discussion so that our collective experience can aid the menopause journey. Learn gentle yoga movements and simple breathing exercises. Practise Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation,  to be nourished by deep rest.  We complete each session with self-reflection and journal writing.

Gentle Yoga for Long Term Health Conditions, Anxiety and Fatigue – Stage 1

A 6 week course starting on Wednesday 21st September from 2-4pm at the Avalon Community Centre

  I am delighted to  offer this new 6 week course, it is designed to support  those who are suffering from the symptoms of  Long Term Health Conditions.

If you’re living with long term health conditions, anxiety and insomnia, this course is ideal for you.

We will build a wellness toolkit, with Gentle Yoga & Yoga Nidra, to help support & improve symptoms of long-term health conditions for those with extreme tiredness, shortness of breath, anxiety & insomnia.

The intention is to help you relax and restore, through practice and discussion, in a safe and supportive space. This is a circle of sharing and exploration so that our collective experience can help aid recovery.

We will practice gentle somatic movements to calm mind and body and learn the foundation of Pranayama to help the respiratory system

It is hosted by SS&L,  and is Free to Somerset Residents  who earn less than £20,000 a year. For  income over £20,000, the fee is  £60

ZOOM class Tuesday 6.15 -7.30pm

I offer online classes where you can practice yoga with me in the comfort of your own home. This is a wonderful solution  for people who cannot travel to my ‘In Person’ classes for practical reasons or due to health issues.

How to practice with me online

I use Zoom to livestream my classes. Zoom is a safe and secure online space that is easy to download and use. It provides clear communication between myself and you, the client – creating an environment which is ideal for practising and learning Gentle Yoga.

If you would like any help downloading Zoom, please let me know and I will be happy to provide you with guidance. I have also provided a step by step guide below on how to connect with online Gentle Yoga classes.

Set it up in advance and test the audio and video are working

Plugging in an ethernet cable will help stabilise the internet connection but standard Wi-Fi connections are almost always adequate

Please log in 10-15 minutes before the class so that we are ready to begin on time

For your class you will need:

1. A yoga mat, or rug to practice on. 

 

2. A yoga block if you have one. Don’t worry if you don’t – a cushion or rolled up blanket is just as good.

 

3.Blanket and cushions to support the body and for the relaxation phase.

4. For ease of movement please wear loose and comfortable clothing or leggings.

5. Please have water and tissues to hand.

 GET COMFORTABLE.Prepare a quiet, open space with good lightiNG.
